MAX-TEK, LLC’s management team is derived from a core of experienced employees with direct knowledge of Superabrasive applications and equipment. The company’s founder and president is Ed Elie, who in 1988 started Edgetek Industries, later to become Edgetek Machine Corporation in 1992. By 1997, Edgetek had sales of almost $10 million and was providing high-speed Superabrasive systems to industries including centrifugal pumps, aerospace, power generation and automotive among others.

ELB-Schliff Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH has been producing surface and profile grinding machines for over 60 years in Babenhausen (Hessen), Germany. The company was founded by Edmund Lang in the city of Babenhausen which led to the name “ELB-Schliff”. Today’s product line includes surface, profile and creep-feed grinding machines as well as a wide range of highly efficient production systems. Based on the decades of ELB-Schliff’s experience, there is hardly a grinding problem which has not already been solved.
